The Tea on Why Queen B Is A More Private Person
| LAST UPDATE 10/17/2021
Throughout her skyrocket to fame, Beyoncé has typically kept her private life out of the spotlight. And, after years of fans wondering why, Queen B finally spilled the tea. "We live in a world with few boundaries and a lot of access," Knowles explained in her September cover feature for Harper's Bazaar.
She then explained, "Our reality can be warped because it's based on a personalized algorithm...We can create our own false reality when we're not fed a balance of what's truly going on in the world. It's easy to forget that there's still so much to discover outside of our phones."
"I'm grateful I have the ability to choose what I want to share," Bey said. This is largely why followers of the trailblazer have kept such a close eye on the content that she does post. Because if it's big enough news for Beyoncé's social media, her fans definitely want to be on the secrets of the hive.
Despite her 28 Grammy Awards and various other accomplishments, Bey admitted, "I wanted the focus to be on my music, because if my art isn't strong enough or meaningful enough to keep people interested and inspired, then I'm in the wrong business." So, why has that caused her to keep a bit more closed off over the years?
As the music mogul said, "My music, my films, my art, my message — that should be enough." While the 39-year-old keeps it real on her socials by posting the big updates in her life, the rest is kept between herself, her family, and her inner circle. In today's world, this may seem odd to some, but we're totally inspired.
To be such an icon across several industries, especially while keeping parts of her life private, we can only imagine how much more special that makes the little moments and big accomplishments along the way. All we have to say is that we're happy when Beyoncé is happy, and if that means some stays private, so be it!
