You know what they say, "fame is a fickle beast." And perhaps no one has learned that better in the past year than Bridgerton's Pheobe Dynevor. The actress explained her struggle with success in a recent interview.
The 26-year-old actress broke it all down for us during a sit-down with Harper's Bazaar UK. During the interview, the breakout star talked about the highs and the lows that came with her sudden success, all of which she never expected to happen when taking on the role. "In the first season, people were saying to me, 'You know, this could be huge,' but you don't ever believe that, and you will never understand what it feels like until it happens to you," the Netflix star explained to the journalist. "It's quite out-of-the-body and weird."

As silly as it was to say knowing how popular the show became, Phoebe didn't sign on to the Shonda Rhimes romantic drama thinking that it would be her ticket to stardom. In fact, she thought of it as just another project. "[I] didn't think anyone was going to care," the UK-born actress confessed. But she couldn't have been more wrong. The series has already been picked up for three more seasons, and the industry is waiting to see what Dynevor's next move will be. But how is she handling the sudden attention and high stakes?
"I don't think anyone knows how to handle that," Pheobe admitted of her current situation post-Bridgerton. "I worry about everything. I'm full of anxiety. I have a fear of failure, letting someone down, contradicting myself..." But amidst the storm of fame and worries, the humble actress has found peace thanks to her commitment to mental health. "I meditate, I have a therapist, I walk every day," she continued to explain. "There are things I do to ground myself because it's quite hectic at the moment." And most of all, she's learned to look for the "middle ground" amidst the highs and lows of life in the limelight - and enjoy the thrill of taking on new projects.
We're wishing nothing but the best for this rising star!
