From what they wear to how they spend their free time, it seems like a celeb's entire life is under the microscope as soon as they reach a certain level of stardom. But Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan has had enough of the public attention about one aspect of her life in particular - and she's not afraid to make it known.
The 35-year-old actress, who first made international noise back in 2018 for her role in Derry Girls, hit up her personal Instagram page to send a message to her 1.2 million followers. "So just a thing," the Irish actress started off writing. "If you have an opinion about my body, please, please don't share it with me." It seemed as though the constant flood of messages became too much for the Netflix star, and so she had to get it off her chest. "Most people are being nice and not trying to be offensive, but I am just one real-life human being, and it's really hard to take the weight of thousands of opinions on how you look being sent directly to you every day," the exhausted star confessed.
"If you have an opinion about me, that's ok," the actress continued. "I understand that I'm on TV and that people will have things to think and say, but I beg you not to send it to me directly," Nicola added. In the spirit of the star's message, she also suspended the option to leave comments underneath her post, but the love certainly came pouring in the form of likes. In just one day alone, the post has raked in close to 100,000 likes from supportive and like-minded followers of the honest actress. And TBH, her post was the perfect reminder that celebrities are human just like us, and sometimes the weight of all that attention can become just a little too much for one person alone.
