As Miley Cyrus's performed at her New Year's Eve Special in Miami, she had an accidental wardrobe malfunction. Luckily, she's a pro and handled it with grace. Here's what went down.
The 29-year old sang her most popular songs during the event, plus some jaw-dropping covers. And the crowd was so hyped that some didn't even notice what went down as Miley transitioned from We Can't Stop to her 2009 hit song, Party in the USA. The singer's sparkly top straps undid themselves. Of course, the pop star didn't freak out and instead continued her show.

As soon as Cyrus noticed what happened, she held on to the front and began moving to the backstage where she could change the outfit. As Miley walked with her back to the crowd, she poked fun at herself. "I'm still in the most clothes that I've ever worn on stage," she joked. The singer even changed up the lyrics of the songs to match the funny situation. "Everybody's definitely looking at me now," Cyrus sang. The band and backup singers seemed to also be unfazed by the incident as they flawlessly carried on while Cyrus was in the back putting her red blazer on.
This was the first time the NYE special was hosted by someone other than Carson Daly, who had been doing it since 2004. And, not surprisingly, Cyrus and her co-host Pete Davidson did a pretty good job ringing in the new year. At the show's end, which aired live on NBCUniversal's Peacock, Miley gave a big thank you to everyone watching. "Thank you so much, everybody, thank you. Tonight's show was all about being flexible, rolling with the punches, and making the best out of even the worst circumstances. And that resilience shouldn't end here. Let's bring that into the New Year with us," the singer gushed. "I wish everyone here in Miami and everyone watching from home a happy and healthy 2022. Thank you for making tonight possible. You were really all that I needed to have the ultimate party."
Let's hope 2022 will be as smooth sailing as Miley's wardrobe malfunction.
