Khloe Kardashian Proves Skeptics Wrong, Makes Met Gala Debut
| LAST UPDATE 05/06/2022
Every year we are stunned by what the Kardashians/Jenner sisters wear on the red carpet of the highly anticipated Met Gala. And while the famous family typically pulls out all their best stops for the event, there is one sister that seems to always be missing out on all the fun. We've seen Kim, Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie, and even Kris - but all these years, Khloe Kardashian never attended one annual Met Gala...until now. The reality TV star has officially made her debut appearance at the celebrity-filled fundraiser. But before 2022, many fans speculated that she was "banned" from attending. Here's why.
Last year, rumors began to circulate online that the youngest Kardashian sister was blacklisted from ever being on the guest list of the Met Ball. Fans made this assumption because Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue and the one who curated the list of who attends the event, never added Khloe to the list. But the only reason they could think as to why was because maybe Khloe wasn't famous enough to be seen at the exclusive event? As it usually happens with gossip, this assumption spread like wildfire. Users all over Twitter were discussing if that really was the reason - that was until Khloe herself took part in the conversation.
"khloé, now that you are online, please tell if the met gala rumors are true because I'll burn that dinosaurs' bones @khloekardashian, please clarify, thank u," a fan tweeted - to which the 37-year-old responded, "Absolutely NOT True." And it looks like she was right because she was finally there last night. The theme this first Monday of May was "In America: An Anthology of Fashion," basically a homage to the Gilded Age - and it seems like Khloe was eager to follow directions for her very first Met.
She showed up wearing a luxurious gold dress with black gloves that included a shawl. Just like her sisters, Khloe was dressed to the nines. But despite the fashion and the night spent with her family, during a red carpet interview with Vogue, Khloe admitted she "just had to be a part of this experience." We have no doubt that, just like her siblings, she will be invited back for years to come...
