John Mayer spilled some major tea about his dating life in a recent episode of Call Her Daddy, and we're here to dissect it for you. Throughout his career, Mayer has been labeled as the ultimate serial dater and Lothario figure in Hollywood - but when it comes down to it, he's just looking for love like everyone else...

During the musician's sit-down conversation with Alex Cooper, Mayer got real when it came down to the heavier parts of his love life. The Gravity singer might have dated half of Hollywood, from Jennifer Aniston to Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, but in reality, he shared that he's always wanted a "deep, meaningful and secure" relationship that ultimately ends in walking down the aisle one day. "Of course, I want to get married," the Grammy award winner told Cooper. He even joked that he "can't wait" to fight over the dry-cleaning one day with the future Mrs. Mayer. "Nothing's hotter to me than conflict resolution," he shared.

However, Mayer admitted he took a break from dating these past few years. Besides the never confirmed rumor this summer that he was dating Kristin Cavallari, the singer's last known girlfriend was Katy Perry. "I don't really date," he told Cooper. But why John? According to the artist, he "quit drinking like six years ago," which has affected his dating style. And without drinking, he says, "you have to be really glaringly honest" and "express yourself," which comes tough for everyone - even Mr. Mayer.

However, this hopeless romantic is not giving up on the search to find the one. "Every relationship I've ever been in was devoted to the idea that this could go the distance," he told Cooper. So when he's dated in the past, he "always sought potential for a long-term relationship." Although he's dated many A-list stars in Hollywood, he shared that growing up, he was made to believe that if someone liked him, "it was pretty much an accident and should be capitalized on," which explains his long list of love songs. To wrap it up, Mayer cleared up the rumor about one of his most famous songs; Your Body Is a Wonderland being about Jennifer Love Hewitt. "That was about my first girlfriend," he shared. "I was 21 when I wrote that song, and I was nostalgic for being 16." Well, glad that's cleared up! Check out the full interview here.
