Hailey Bieber Talks About Supporting Justin's Mental Health
| LAST UPDATE 11/02/2021
We all know the saying, "In sickness and in health," and Hailey Bieber meant it when she said it. And while her marriage with Justin hasn't always been easy, the model remains as committed as ever.
Hailey and Justin joined hosts Chelsea and Judah Smith on their show, In Good Faith to talk all things marriage. The couple, who just celebrated their three-year anniversary on September 30th, opened up about the struggles they've faced, especially when it came to Justin's mental health. "I realized there was some serious healing I needed to go through in order to get to a place where I could be in a healthy, serious relationship because I had a lot of trauma and scars," the Peaches singer explained. And the journey definitely took a toll on Hailey.

While Justin explained that his loving wife still "accepted" him, the supermodel didn't have an easy ride during the first couple of years of their marriage. But despite the lows, Hailey never considered walking away. "I was in it. I made a decision," the supermodel explained during the interview. "I know for a fact that I've loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him." Despite the constant criticism against her husband, the young wife stood strong. "I just wouldn't do that to him," she continued. "Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life, potentially. I'm not that type of a person. So I was going to stick it out no matter what the outcome was going to be," she continued.
But mental health battles weren't the only fight they were up against. Hailey was also very open about the "difficult" time she had during the first year of marriage due to all the online hate and paparazzi attention they received. But luckily, the pandemic gave them the gift of privacy as most of us were stuck at home for months on end.
