It's no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow's wellness company Goop sells items on the more expensive side of things. In fact, she once joked that she was selling diapers for $120 as a way to raise awareness about the controversial tax... And while that was just a prank, Paltrow's latest Goop scandal is real. Here's why fans are not happy with the prices of her new jewelry collection.

Earlier this week, Goop dropped their jewelry line called G. Label, featuring seven different pieces that range from $500 for a single earring to an $8,000 diamond necklace. Instantly Paltrow was met was critisism from fans about how it was "shameful and insensitive" to advocate for her expensive line at a point in time when the "majority are struggling to afford even the basics." People were extremely unhappy especially considering the timing of the release, which was just a few days after a major day in history for women. Many individuals described the whole timing of the jewelry line release as "tacky" since Paltrow had also not yet addressed the issue.

"Named after some of the women who fill my soul the most, this G. Label jewelry offering serves to bring modern heirlooms to your collection," the 49-year-old shared on her Instagram on Sunday. "Layer them in with your favorite pieces, they are meant to be worn every day and will play beautifully with the things you own." But unfortunately, as one person pointed out, these items can only be afforded by a few people. "Less than .1% of the population can afford," one user commented.

"Ah yes, everyday jewelry for $7K," another person made light out of the situation. But others were taking it far more seriously. "Say you're out of touch without saying it," commented one person, while another added, "Maybe stop making money for a minute and give your fellow women a voice of support after their humanity has been stripped away. Just a thought." Yikes. "'Selling trinkets to the women of America, now, really? Will it make them feel better? No agency over your body, but nice necklace?" said another disappointed person on Goop's Instagram post. Gwneth has yet to respond... Stay tuned for updates.
