Britney Spears Shares Her Side of the 'Zoey 101' Cast Drama
| LAST UPDATE 11/06/2022
Amidst all of the Spears sister drama, one voice who has been very vocal throughout is Alexa Nikolas. After playing opposite Jamie Lynn in her hit Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, she had a few things to say in light of her co-star's memoir released earlier this year. In reference to being branded the on-set bully, Nikolas fought back, claiming the power dynamic was largely reversed. Last week, the star added more fuel to the fire, appearing on Christy Carlson Romano's Vulnerable podcast to recall the time Britney Spears yelled at her on Jamie's behalf. To her surprise, it seemed the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer had tuned in to the podcast and, soon after, sent an apology her way...
"It wasn't OK because I was a 12 [or] 13-year-old," Alexa explained to Romano about the incident. "But in retrospect, knowing the dynamic that was in place for her, I think, of course, that's what ended up happening. And I think… poor Britney. She is in a horrible situation there."
Upon hearing Alexa's side of the situation, Britney Spears took to Twitter to issue a now-deleted apology to the star. Spears remembered this particular feud and explained she had been 9 months pregnant at the time. Upon arriving, she was told by her younger sister that she was being bullied by Nikolas. Aggravated by her mother's non-response, Britney reacted emotionally to the news and jumped to Jamie-Lynn's defense without having all the facts.

For Nikolas, this was a better reaction than she could have ever dreamed of, as she took to Instagram to thank Britney for the public apology. "I'm sitting here crying with my jaw on the floor," she wrote. "Thank you for seeing me and listening to me. Thank you for apologizing… This is honestly one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me. We forget as a society how much support and love impacts us. My child self and current self is in awe of the incredible person you are… Thank you for being you and embracing everything that you are." Can we expect a Jamie-Lynn-Britney reconciliation next? Stay tuned.
