Britney Spears has gotten her voice back, and there's no stopping her now. And she's rehashing her past with her newfound freedom to share her thoughts on what really went down... Exes included. So here's what she had to say about Justin Timberlake and their break-up.
This isn't the first time that Justin's come under fire in recent months for his past with the pop star. Back in February of 2021, he posted a public apology directed toward Britney for failing to "respect" her at various times in his life. Following their very public split in the early 2000s, Timberlake saw his public image and career skyrocket, where Britney became a target of paparazzi and harsh tabloid attention - a cycle that would carry on throughout some of the lows in her life. But, having gained the strength to share her side of the story, the princess of pop isn't letting anyone walk all over her anymore. Spears let it all out in an Instagram post that has since been deleted, but screenshots are still circulating online. "[Justin] served with his first album using your name claiming you did him dirty," Britney vented to her followers.
While she "ran away from the drama and created a dream world for [herself]," Britney couldn't help but point out the similarities of people from her past profiting from her name. And while it's unclear why she decided to delete the post, the message is out there for all of us to read. And it only drives home the point that led Justin to apologize in the first place. "I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny," he wrote back in 2021.
