Anya Taylor-Joy has tied the knot with musician Malcolm McRae in Italy this week. The 27-year-old actress has been seeing the 29-year-old band member from the two-person band More since 2020. The couple wedded at the Palazzo Pisani Morettan in Venice alongside the Grand Canal. Anya was snapped by nearby paparazzi on a balcony in her stunning cream dress adorned with brown birds and diamond detailing. Guests in attendance included Inventing Anna star Julia Garner, Top Gun: Maverick's Miles Teller, and her The Menu co-star Nicholas Hoult.
In a unique turn of events, Malcolm has allegedly decided to adopt Anya's family name rather than the more conventional other way around. While the news remains unconfirmed by any official sources, we wouldn't put it past The Witch star, who admitted to W Magazine she hates looking at herself in mirrors.
The couple was rumored to have already married in July 2022 by PageSix in an "intimate courthouse wedding"; however, this remained unconfirmed until just last week. At the Christian Dior Paris Fashion Week runway, brand ambassador Anya introduced Malcolm as her husband to Spanish artist Rosalia and Mexican actress Jenna Ortega in Spanish. She told them, "Este es mi marido," meaning, "This is my husband." The Queen's Gambit actress was raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Spanish is Anya's first language as she emigrated to London when she was six. Fans of Anya were surprised to hear that the duo were already married. Still, many assumed she had just introduced Malcolm as her husband to simplify the exchange.

Anya spoke to British Vogue about her relationship with her now-husband Malcolm. She said, "I've finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading. We're basically 80 years old and seven at the same time, and it works really well." During the same interview, the Split star referred to Malcolm as her "hobby." The couple split their time between London, Los Angeles, and Malcolm's hometown in Alabama. Most importantly, Anya and Malcolm are the proud owners of a cat, Kitsune, who they adopted in May 2022, right before Anya began filming for the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Furiosa.
