Who needs heels anyways? Selena Gomez certainly doesn't! The A-list celeb showed up to the Screen Actors Guild Awards in a stunning fit, accompanied by a pair of red bottom heels. When it was time to present the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, she took those babies right off.
The Only Murders in the Building star arrived at the 2022 SAG Awards looking like the gorgeous human she is. The actress stepped onto the red carpet in a beautiful black velvet Oscar de la Renta gown, accompanied by a $1 million dollar, 200-carat Bulgari diamond necklace, emerald ring, and Christian Louboutin black heels. One of her heels slipped off when posing on the carpet, causing her to trip and fall to her knees. Oh, no, girl. The actress quickly recovered, took off her other shoe, and made a swift exit right out of there. "Last night was such a magical one. I couldn't keep my heels on, but I did manage to take a couple selfies." Selena wrote.
When Gomez joined the stage with co-star Martin Short to present the award, the actress walked on stage barefoot. Immediately the actors got down to business, with Martin Short finding it difficult to express his genuine emotions as his "Botox is fresh." The singer quickly commented back, saying, "Mine, too." Ah, Hollywood. Gomez did exactly what all us heel-wearers wish to do, put them on for the picture and then take them right off. It appeared she wasn't the only celeb who decided to kick her heels off during the prestigious, lavish event. Fellow actress, Nicole Kidman, was also spotted taking off her heels during the ceremony to enjoy some heel-free moments. We get it. This hilarious entrance sparked reactions from Twitter users everywhere. One user tweeted, "Selena presenting barefoot is the most Selena Gomez thing ever." At the same time, another wrote, "I want to reach Selena Gomez confidence, she fell off her heels and then presented the award barefoot. She didn't care what the people would say. Queen."
