When the doom and gloom of 2020 and the coronavirus indoor retreat hit, just about everyone began to work from home. Save for a few whose jobs required them to still travel for work, most people migrated from their beds to a desk across the room for their 9 - 5 jobs. For some homes, this didn't stop at the human breed. Even the canine variety has work to do, and nothing will stop a puppy from getting it done.

A heartwarming video of a chihuahua working from home alongside his remote worker-owner has gone viral on TikTok, melting hearts across the internet. The video, shared by TikTok user Gabrielle (@Gabrielleeee789), shows her chihuahua accompanying her mother to her work-from-home setup before sitting patiently next to Gabrielle's mom for the entire work day. When Gabrielle's mom finishes her job, so too does her puppy.

Gabrielle said in the video, "So my mom works from home every single day without fail. At the beginning of the workday she says, 'Puppy, let's go to work!' And puppy goes into her office." Gabrielle then looks at the puppy as he waits for her office door to open. She says, "Puppy, do you want to go to work?" And then, the puppy chases after her into the office and takes his seat on his work chair to begin a long day of WFH. After he took his seat, Gabrielle laughed and said, "He sits here all day long and doesn't move."

Naturally, the video quickly went viral. The internet can hardly get enough of dogs as is, but when there is a hardworking puppy with a mission on their mind, who can possibly resist it? Since its upload, the video has raked up 834,000 views and almost 100,000 likes. One TikTok commenter wrote," A couple hundred years ago he would have had to sleep outside and hunt for his own food. Now, he is a personal assistant." Another user joked, "A single dog who works two jobs." Another user hilariously commented, "Employee of the month, every month." In an office lifestyle that is becoming more open to bringing your dog to work, it seems only fair this puppy should be included, too.
