Daughters will take advantage of every opportunity to roast their parents, which is no different for daughters and their famous dads. Maya Hawke, daughter of actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, has begun to make a name in Hollywood for herself, even if that means dragging her dad down to the pits.
In a recent interview with Variety, the father-daughter duo were in thick competition in a game of 'how well do they know one another.' When Maya was asked if her dad would instead attend a Lady Gaga or Rihanna concert, she didn't waste a single beat with her answer. "I have a very fast answer because that information is really available online," Maya laughed as she speedily wrote down Rihanna. "RiRi baby, by a long shot." Ethan had to clarify. "I've been caught by the paparazzi openly flirting with Rihanna," Ethan revealed. "Openly trying to," Maya quickly added. "Yeah, trying to flirt, and so that's been to the family shame," he laughed. Maya corrected her dad, "Family pride."
In 2015, while attending the NBA All-Star Game with Ethan's other child with ex-wife Uma, Levon was spotted courtside with another lover of the NBA, none other than Rihanna. In the first batch of photos, Levon was seated between Ethan and Rihanna. The father and son had switched seats by the next round of images. Clearly, in deep conversation, Ethan appeared to be talking Rihanna's ear off in paparazzi photos. Reclining back on his chair, Ethan was definitely trying to play it cool, but Maya saw right through it. Whether RiRi was enjoying it as much as he was is anyone's guess.

This is not the first time the paparazzi snaps have been a source of joking embarrassment for the actor and dad. Following Rihanna's memorable Super Bowl halftime performance in 2022, Ethan shared the photos on Instagram with the caption; "After Rihanna's brilliant halftime performance, I'm hoping my son can find it in his heart to forgive a Dad for taking his moment." Like Maya, Levon didn't seem to mind his dad shooting his shot. Levon commented, "Iconic content." Like sister, like brother.
