Masks weren't the only scary thing about Scream 3. On January 10th, during an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Courtney Cox took a look back at the haircut she rocked in the famous movie as the character Gale Weathers. Here's what she had to say about the style.

The Friends star admitted that her hair in the parody movie was one of the "worst" she'd ever had. "Each Scream I would try to come up with a different look for her that was just over the top gross or ugly or too much," the 57-year old recalled to Drew Barrymore, who was also a former star of the franchise. "There was nothing worse. That was a big lesson in life because that will forever be on film," Cox further explained of how much she didn't like the bangs.

According to the actress, the original idea was to have a short fringe - but not as short as it ended up being: "I remember they were cut on the set," she said. "You are supposed to have a thing that starts back here, far back, and that's where the part goes for the bangs," Cox further explained as she pointed to the crown of her head. But, the hairstylist of the film put it in the middle of her head - which ultimately led to the unfortunate haircut. "I was like, 'Well, I don't have a choice now."

Luckily, Cox will redeem herself during the latest addition to the Scream franchise, which will be released next week on January 14th. She will be returning as her original role of Gale Weathers. Joining her will be David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, who starred with Cox as part of the original cast. There will also be new faces, including Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Dylan Minnette, and Jack Quaid. Cox's character has been said to be the weather girl, who reports that it has been nearly 10 years since Ghostface has attacked the town of Woodsboro. This refers to the 2011 Scream movie. Don't forget to check out Scream when it hits theaters and be sure to stay tuned for more updates!
