Infamous Instagram Blog 'DeuxMoi' Lands An Hour-Long HBO Special
| LAST UPDATE 05/15/2022
There are hundreds of Instagram pages dedicated to sharing the gossip and drama that happens behind closed doors with our favorite A-list stars. But one specific page has earned nearly 1.5 million followers, and let's just say, it probably has something to do with how they are never scared to spill all the juicy tea! From celebrity sightings to who's dating who, they're always up to date. And while their content is typically posted on the gram, the gossip blog has just landed a deal with HBO that will outline the growth of the now-iconic page. Here's what we know so far.
The hour-long special will be based on the novel Anon Pls, a book by DuexMoi that is set to be released later this year in November. The script-to-series order always has fans extremely eager to read and watch what really happens behind the scene of the gossip girl-esk blog. Based on a synopsis written by Harper Collins, the story will follow the life of "Cricket Lopez, assistant to one of the most notorious celebrity stylists," as she "revamps her old style Instagram account and turns it into a celebrity gossip blog on a drunken whim."

The main character "never thinks it will become anything. It's just a way to blow off steam after a terrible, terrible day at work where her nightmarish boss screams at her and blames her for some 18-year-old influencer's screw-up. But when the account grows overnight and, even wilder, when she starts getting gossip from fans – juicy gossip – she has to face facts: her Instagram is now famous. She is now famous."
Unlike the upcoming book or HBO special, the real identity of DeuxMoi is still unknown. For years the creator has stayed anonymous posting hundreds of tips received from fans. But that has never stopped them from opening up about the blog. Most recently DuexMoi was asked by StyleCaster how they feel being compared to Gossip Girl from the iconic TV series. "I personally relate more to the way Lady Whistledown carries herself than Gossip Girl carries themselves," the anon blogger said. "On the show, people almost want to be featured in [Lady Whistledown’s] paper. It kind of cements their popularity and place in society when they’re mentioned. And she’s not mean." Currently, there are no release dates about when the series will be dropped. But luckily as we wait we can stalk DuexMoi's Instagram for the latest gossip.
