Charli revealed in a recent interview that she feels "incredibly frustrated" by the backlash she gets from "haters" online. The queen of TikTok was recently hit with a wave of criticism when a photographer claimed that she used photos taken by him in her book, Essentially Charli. The internet called out the 17-year-old for "making millions" from "his work." And that's only the latest.

The young influencer has been very open about the hate she's received since blowing up on TikTok. Charli has been body-shamed and told she doesn't deserve the fame, amongst other things. D'Amelio believes that the excessive hate directed at her is partly because she is a woman, arguing that if she was a man, people wouldn't hate as much. "I definitely do get a lot of harsh comebacks," Charli said. "I see other people doing the same thing... and not getting the same response." Dixie then corrected her younger sister, adding, "[other] men."

And thanks to The D'Amelio Show, fans can now see the behind-the-scenes effect of it all. One emotional episode showed the mental health struggles that Charli and Dixie try to cope with. "[All the hate] makes me feel like I don't deserve anything," the 20-year-old admitted. "I'm trying to do everything I can to better myself, and it just gets worse. They break up every single thing I do and make it a negative thing."

Dixie was on an emotional rollercoaster over a video clip that someone posted of her leaving the gym. She said, "Everyone picks apart every single thing I say and do and the way I look. I know it's just people's opinions, but it hurts so much." As for Charli? The young star confessed she sometimes won't even leave the house to avoid the haters. "I don't know. I feel like it just gets more difficult every day," Charli said. "This is why I don't go out. This is why I don't want to talk to anyone."
