It is no secret Charli D'Amelio has star power. Whether this is viewing her on a phone screen to watching her perform on a big stage, the girl can dance. While she continues to rake in millions of followers on TikTok, she has now taken her career to the next stage, wowing audiences on Dancing with the Stars.

The hit series, Dancing with the Stars just kicked off its 31st season and has a seriously dazzling line-up. From New Jersey housewife Teresa Giudice to American Idol's Jordin Sparks and Legally Blonde's Selma Blair. However, one participant stood out immensely after her first-dance debut, and that is none other than Charli D'Amelio. At only 18 years old, the dancer has accumulated 147.1 million TikTok followers (and counting), which has landed her career to take off in many directions. From voicing the character Tinker in StarDog and TurboCat to having her own reality TV show, The D'Amelio Show, based on family life and her journey through dealing with fame. Although her fame derives from her dancing TikTok videos, these are usually the trends that have spread through social media. Now, DWTS is allowing her to show everyone what she is really made of.

The dancing queen made her DWTS debut with partner Mark Ballas. They twirled their way into the competition with a revolutionary cha-cha performance to a remixed version of Megan Thee Stallion's 'Savage.' D'Amelio stunned audiences in a sparkly red dress and intertwined her competitive dance moves with Mark Ballas's choreography, which intertwined a "TikTok flair." Ironically, the tune 'Savage' was one of the first viral dances that D'Amelio encountered on the platform, one of which immediately drew attention to her profile. Considering her advanced background, D'Amelio was no stranger to the art of dance. While this was her first televised performance, she did not disappoint as the dynamic duo hit the top of the leaderboard on the first night of the competition. While the cha-cha is a nicely fitting aesthetic for D'Amelio, we can only wonder how many double taps this routine would receive on her feed. There's nothing wrong with a little change and something new.

So, what will the dancing D'Amelio bring in the upcoming weeks? If professional American dance partner Ballas is by her side, the two are sure not to disappoint. While this is not the beginning of D'Amelio's career, it might be the start of something wonderful for her mom, Heidi, who is also participating in the show, although she was skeptical at first. On that note, stay tuned for more moves!
